Page and Parker came to our family in November of 2004. We adopted them from an organization in central Illinois. I fell in love with Parker on the Petfinder.com website and when we went to the adoption event that following Saturday to meet him, I was told that he and his sister, Page, were the last two from the litter to be adopted. I couldn’t leave her by herself, so we adopted them both. They were four months old at the time and we were told that Mama dog and the litter had been abandoned when their human family moved and left them at the house. The babies were about 15 pounds when we adopted them, and we were told that they were cocker spaniel/beagle mixes. Over the months they kept growing bigger and bigger….now weighing 70 – 75 pounds and we realize that they are Lab mixes. They certainly have typical puppy habits such as chewing on everything they can find and I have learned to have a plentiful supply of rawhide bones in the house at all times! They came to use as meek little puppies half afraid of everything except for us and each other and have grown into beautiful, happy adolescent dogs with the kindest personality I’ve ever encountered. They have certainly become part of the family and I couldn’t survive with out them! – Elizabeth

I always enjoy drawing Labs – they have such a happy, gentle expression it usually lightens my mood as I sketch! Thanks for sharing Page, Elizabeth.

Thank you for drawing my girl, Larry! She’s just as gorgeous on paper as she is in person. The portrait wonderfully captures her vibrant personality. Her world revolves around that tongue which is what makes this so perfect!

  3. just look at that face…truly the labbie look! Mr. Larry you did it again, this portrait is amazing!

Page and Parker have to be great pals and super dogs, clearly loved by all.
