Thunder

Thunder
Black Col-erase pencil on Canson watercolor paper, 11.5″ x 7.5″. Reference photo by Alicia.

This is Thunder, my 11 year old King Shepherd cross Golden Retriever. We got him November 2nd (my mom’s birthday) after she saw him in a pet store (we now know pet stores are terrible) He was only 8 weeks old and already huge and a big ball of fluff. The reason we got him was because my other dog had a false pregnancy (before we knew about all the dogs in shelters) the vet said to buy her a puppy so she wouldn’t be depressed and would think she at least had one puppy. Thunder grew up to be the most gentle and pleasing dog ever. He learns new tricks within 2 hours, he’s always trying to be with someone and loves any attention. Thunder loves all our bunnies and lets them cuddle into him and jump all over him. He helped raise a little baby I had and when the baby grew up she followed Thunder everywhere and he always watched over her. – Alicia

Great photo, Alicia! I think it’d be great to see the bunnies hopping all over Thunder…
