Tasha is a four year old red tweenie (14 lbs) dachshund my husband and I adopted from rescue two years ago. She’s a timid and shy girl who was abused in her first home, but has opened up to us, and slowly is making friends with other humans. We have taken her on several seaside vacations and she just loves running along the beach and digging in the sand. My favorite photo of her zooming along the beach is probably too small, so I’ll attach a second one of her flying by with a shell in her mouth. She’s a wonderful little dog and makes us laugh every day! – Jennifer
I love this shot! It shows that Dachshunds are athletic little dogs. My experience with Rusty has shown me that they love to roughhouse, run and play as much as any dog. This image of Tasha captures the heart of what they are all about. Thanks for sharing, Jennifer!

/ October 4, 2006Oh Larry, you captured Tasha so perfectly, it brings tears to my eyes! Her favorite thing in life (other than food) is zooming down the beach, digging for shells, and zooming around with them!
Your painting is PERFECT! Thank you!

/ October 4, 2006Wow! I love this drawing. You captured the action so perfectly. Bailey’s bestest friend is a mini-daschound named Reese Cup, and she wears him out (and he’s a Jack Russell!)
Great job!
